DANIEL MAHLER
Book, Costume Designer
Daniel's passion for the performing arts has never been more evident as it is today. Starting at the age of ten, Daniel has evolved from actor to stage manager, director, costume designer and now writer. His involvement in the arts has continued to thrive having worked for LA Opera and LA Phil, Reprise Theatre Co., the Gay Men's Chorus of LA, 24th Street Theatre and the Independent Shakespeare Company. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University, Northridge and is currently working toward his Masters at the University of California, Los Angeles.
NANEA MIYATA
Book, Music & Lyrics
Nanea is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she studied Business Entrepreneurship and Theatre. Theatre has always been an important and driving force in her life, and she has loved her experiences both on the stage and off. Having started out as a performer, Nanea's passions expanded to include work with music arrangement, choreography, direction, production and finally composition. Her experience has included working with organizations such as LA Stage Alliance, The Walt Disney Company, USC Spectrum, Grand Performances, 24th Street Theatre, East West Players, USC School of Theatre, Theatre League and Cabrillo Music Theatre. Nanea is currently a musical theatre instructor with Performing Arts Workshops, and further enjoys pursuing other singer/songwriter endeavors while continuing to survive as a creative artist in Los Angeles.
BRITTANY MORRISON
Book & Lyrics
Brittany is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Theatre and a minor in Philosophy, happily relocated to Los Angeles. Her work at UCI included The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Assistant Director), Columbinus (AD), and Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train (Stage Manager). Her Los Angeles Stage Managing career has included A Man's A Man (Odyssey Theatre Ensemble), This Lime Tree Bower (OTE), A Number (OTE), Life on the Offbeat (The Unusual Suspects). This is her first venture into theatrical composition, and what a journey it has been!
ELISSA WEINZIMMER
Director
Elissa Weinzimmer graduated from the USC School of Theatre in 2007. Los Angeles directing credits include School for Suckers, Violetta Dying and Cabaret. In 2008 she was awarded the Mike Ockrent Fellowship, assisting director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw on Minsky's at the Ahmanson Theatre. Other venues where she has assisted include the Pasadena Playhouse, the Kirk Douglas Theatre, the Piven Theatre Workshop (IL), the Laguna Playhouse, the Sacred Fools Theatre, and the Production Company. Elissa is an associate producer of the web series Ben and Burman (www.benandburman.com) and is very proud to be an associate member of SDC, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and an alumnus of the Director's Lab West.
KYLE DE TARNOWSKY
Music Director
Kyle de Tarnowsky is a graduate of the University of Southern California's Scoring for Motion Pictures & Television program (2008), having earned his B.M. in Music Composition (2007) from Florida State University. Originally from a small town outside of Burlington, Vermont, he has been active on the music side of many film and television projects, including music preparation, transcription and orchestration work on projects such as "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore," the Academy Awards and "Hotel for Dogs." While Kyle's primary focus lies in composing for film, he is also busy as an arranger and performing musician and is delighted to be revisiting his love of musical theatre with "The Bedroom Window."
HALEY KEIM
Set Designer
Haley is thrilled to be making her L.A. theatre debut with The Bedroom Window. She is a recent graduate from the University of Redlands with a shiny BA in Theatre Arts, emphasis in Directing and Design. Her favorite UofR credits include Alice (Director/Set Designer), The Fantasticks (Costume Designer), Macbeth (Asst. Director), and Angels in America (Asst. Set Designer), and she has served as the Artistic Director of UofR's Musical Theatre Club for three years. She also recently has been dabbling in design for film, and studied for a semester at FAMU (The Czech Republic's national film school) in Prague. She has served as the production designer and/or costume designer for 11 short films, and last summer was the Set Decorator for the indie feature Box of Shadows. Haley is currently the Assistant Set Designer (to Snezana Petrovic) on the Culver City opera project: Songs and Dances of Imaginary Lands, directed by O-Lan Jones.
KRYSTLE SMITH
Lighting Designer
Krystle (www.krystlesmith.com) is a L.A. based designer, having worked
for various companies such as Center Stage Opera where she designed *Cosi
fan Tutte* and *Lucia di Lammermore, *the Avalon Hollywood, and Martin
Professional to name a few. Her design work has ranged from opera,
television, architectural, theatre, dance, and nightclubs. In 2008 for the
Cancer Culture & Community Colloquium, she designed scenes from *W;t,* at
which the playwright, Margaret Edson, was the guest speaker. She is excited
to be working with the design team of *The Bedroom Window* and hopes to
bring a creative zeitgeist to the production. Holding a B.A. in Theatre from
California State University, Northridge, she is currently earning her M.F.A.
in Lighting Design from Purdue University.
Christina Covarrubias
Stage Manager
Christina has worked with various theaters throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties as a stage manager, sound designer, director, production assistant and actor. Past productions include: Alan Cumming's I Bought A Blue Car Today (Audrey Skirball Kenis Theatre); Matthew Modine Saves The Alpacas, Farragut North, The Seafarer (Geffen Playhouse); Betrayal (The Matrix); The Full Monty (Theatre Theater); Little Shop Of Horrors, Into The Woods, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Camino Real Playhouse). She is the production manager for The Hunger Artists Theatre Company, a founding member of The Orange County Underground Burlesque Society, the manager for rock band Manic Automatic and the proud mom of an adorable six year old.
